PSYCHEdelight Theatre company
Help us bring
PSYCHEdelight is a participatory theatre company founded in 2011 by Sophie Besse Bertrand, a playwright and theatre director trained in both drama and therapy.

We celebrate diversity and promote social inclusion by bringing diverse communities together through our creations and workshops, all multicultural and plurilingual. As a Theatre Company of Sanctuary, we are a place of welcome for people seeking asylum in the UK and an opportunity for them to meet, play and create with local people. Through theatre, and our trauma-informed approach, we provide them a platform to express themselves and be heard.

We are committed to challenge the negative narrative often associated with refugees and our approach, accessible to all languages, is based on physical theatre, clowning and visual poetry. More about our approach HERE.

“Young Vic Taking Part is delighted to support PSYCHEdelight... We believe theatre should open up doors to the world, and help us understand the lives of others. PSYCHEdelight is doing just this”” (Imogen Brodie).
.
"The work of PSYCHEdelight is smart, nuanced and important. They create work that shines with authenticity, that does all the great things theatre should do - Entertain, move, provoke and motivate." Theatre Delicatessen. Roland Smith
